Safety
Gear, as the name implies, is meant
to assist you
in performing potentially dangerous work in a "safer" manner.
For
starters; if you wear safety gear, then
you have a safety mindset.
(no offense to Cowboys, however, to be called a "Cowboy" when working
in the woods, on a log home, or similar is not necessarily a good
thing).
Finally,
Safety Gear is not a "fail safe".
It
simply slows down/lessens the accident if one should happen. (e.g. if
your saw kicks
back and the chain cuts into your chaps there's a good chance you'll
still get
cut, hopefully not nearly as severely).
